The Girl Code Project
We offer a free week-long camp for 6th-10th grade girls during the spring semester. Participants learn the basics of coding, game design, and group work. The girls are placed into groups and work with mentors to complete projects over the summer following camp.
TheGirlCodeProject will be offering some of our programming to patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We will be hosting semesterly “CS Parties” for patients as well as hosting CS events for patients with cystic fibrosis as well as children at the Ronald McDonald House.
TheGirlCodeProject will be working with Atlanta Public Schools to help develop curriculum for the newly offered AP Computer Science Principles course. We will be offering biweekly demonstrations and project-based activities to help students complete their digital portfolios for the course. We will be working with students at Mays HS, Grady HS, and more!
Join us for a workshop for career preparation, computer science ethics discussion, and professional networking. Our first session is on July 7th at Georgia Tech. Registration opening soon!
